Yes, the keto diet is low carb like the Atkins Diet, however it is super low carb! When starting the keto diet you should limit daily carbohydrate intake to no more than 30 grams per day.


Do I have to count calories or macros?

Do you have to? No. You will probably get better results if you do, but I am a lazy dieter and the only thing I look at is carb count, and I try to keep my carbs as close to zero as possible.

Is the ketogenic diet sustainable?

I’ve been on it for over 5 months and personally know people that have been on it for up to 15 months and in my research have found people that have been on it for years. So, yes it is sustainable.
